A little history:
Rue Saint-Rémi is one of a small number of streets that, not without difficulty, have been fortunate enough to retain their former name.
According to tradition, an early sanctuary dedicated to Saint-Pierre and ruined by the barbarians was rebuilt by Clovis and placed under the protection of Saint-Rémi. However, the oldest remains of the present-day church of Saint-Rémi, rebuilt in the 15th and 16th centuries, date back no further than the 11th century
