Some essential information
Please check that your windows and/or skylights are properly closed before leaving the accommodation!
Trash
Please dispose of your trash correctly in the building's garbage room.
If you cannot find a garbage room, please use the public containers outside.
How to differentiate between the bins?
Black bin = household waste
Green bin = recycling (paper, cardboard, aluminum, cans, etc.)
For glass, use the public glass recycling container. Locate the nearest container on the Bordeaux Metropole website.
Kitchen: Cooktops
Induction cooktop: To use it, you must place a cooking pan on it; otherwise, it will not heat up. If it doesn't turn on, check that the safety lock is not activated (padlock symbol ?). To deactivate it, press the padlock for 1 to 2 seconds.
Electric Kettle

If the building has an elevator and it is not working, check that there is no "out of order" or "technician in progress" sign.
Some elevators require a key to operate. If so, you will find it on your keyring.

Heating
If electric heating (radiators): check that the radiators are turned on. They should be in heating mode (symbol: ?). If you have gas heating (boiler): check that there is pressure in the boiler (between 1 and 1.2 bar). If there is a thermostat in the apartment, check that it is switched on and that the batteries are working.
If you have reversible air conditioning: it must be in heating mode (symbol: ?). Wait a few seconds for it to heat up.
Hot water
If there is no hot water: If you have a water heater in the apartment, open the electrical panel and locate the contactor (the only switch with 3 positions: '0', 'AUTO', and '1'). If it is in the '0' or 'AUTO' position, switch it to the '1' position (forced operation).
If you have a boiler, check the set temperature and the pressure (it must be between 1 and 2 bar).
Contact the agency if the problem persists.
Electricity
If there is no electricity at all (no lights, no power in the outlets, etc.), check the electrical panel: one of the circuit breakers may be in the OFF position (downward). Simply push it upwards. Make sure you know which button it is before doing so (what it controls).

Washing Machine
If the washing machine stops, check if the condensation drawer is full. If so, empty it and make sure to put it back in place correctly.

Network name and password:
If Airbnb booking: You received it via Airbnb messaging.
If other booking: You will find it in the rental agreement (signed at check-in).
How to connect?
Go to your phone's settings
> Connections / Wi-Fi
> Select the network name and enter the password. ⚠️ Pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters!
What if it doesn't work?
- Check that the router is plugged in and turned on (and the power strip if there is one).
- Restart it if necessary (unplug and replug the power cord).
